A platform for talent, a launching pad for artists and assemblage of singers, dancers, actors etc. is the Cultural Club of our college. Identifying the talent amongst the Fresher’s and encouraging them to participate in various events and competitions is the motto of the Club.
Kasturba College is fortunate to attract the best talent in the city and our students have made us proud always by excellence in performance and behavior wherever they have participated. We motivate our students to participate in Inter College, State and National level competitions and the students always come out with flying colors.
Cultural Club takes up the responsibility of organizing and conducting various cultural activities on important occasions like Telangana Formation Day, Fresher’s day, Independence Day, Bhatukamma and Dandiya celebrations, Annual Day, Farewell Party and Republic Day and also every programme related to college.
Our girls won second prize in ethnic walk, second prize in singing and group dance.
Our girls won first prize in group dance and skit on women empowerment
Our girls won first prize in solo dance classical, solo dance semi classical, group dance (light music) and second prize in group dance (folk) and singing.
The girls won first prize in the State level Competitions in both the categories group dance and solo dance classical and were given the golden ticket to participate in the National level competition which will be held on 10th and 11th January, 2020 at TamilNadu.
Annual Event – Independence Day celebrations held on 15th August was celebrated very enthusiastically by all the students and faculty, many patriotic dances and songs based on theme were performed.
Fresher’s Day one of the Annual event is celebrated on the month of August. Special guest Mrs Geeta Bhasker who is an actor and an inspirational speaker was invited to give motivational talk to the fresher’s. Many programs were held by seniors dedicating for their juniors. Most talented fresher was also conducted for the fresher’s where they had lot of fun!
Bhatukamma Celebrations is an annual event in the college where the students celebrate in a very traditional way. Every year Best Bhatukamma Competition is held and students actively participate in it. After the competition students dance for Bhatukamma song and Dandiya.
Every Girl has the power to rule the world by their mental power. We kasturbans have the power to rule the world. On International day of girl child which is on October 11 a competition called beti bachao beti padao was held. Our girls participated in skit and solo singing and stood in first place
NAAC peer team visited our college, graded with “A” grade for the third consecutive cycle. Cultural programs have been conducted in front of all the dignitaries. Many dances, singing and karate performances were showcased.
Radio Mirchi campus rock star is a talent hunt program to select students for best open stage talent, fashion, singing, dancing. Many students of the college participated and won the contest.
Vanitha channel has organized New Year celebrations. The programs was telecasted in the television. The celebration was theme based on women safety.
